Shigeko Kagawa, a 114-year-old retired doctor from Nara, is now Japan's oldest living person, confirmed by Japan's Health Ministry. A WWII medical veteran and Tokyo 2021 Olympic torchbearer at 109, Kagawa worked until age 86. When asked her secret to longevity, she said, "I just play every day... I eat what I want...I'm free and independent."
