Gujarat wicketkeeper-batter Urvil Patel, who smashed fastest T20 hundred by an Indian day after going unsold in IPL auction, was born on October 17, 1998 in Mehsana. Urvil made domestic cricket debut in 2018. He has scored 988 runs in 44 T20s. Before Gujarat, he represented Baroda. He was bought by GT in 2023, but was released before IPL 2024.
