Speaking at Ayodhya's Ram Temple PM Modi said in 1835 Thomas Macaulay laid foundation of mental slavery in India. Macaulay had written a policy document 'Macaulay Minute', in which he said English should be medium of education in India. He gave call for new class of Indians who'd be Indian in blood and colour but English in tastes and opinion.
