Meta's Chief AI Scientist and NYU professor Yann LeCun is reportedly planning to leave the company to launch his own startup. LeCun won the 2018 Turing Award, computing's highest award, along with Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio for their work on deep neural networks. LeCun is considered an AI pioneer for inventing convolutional neural networks and advancing deep learning.
