Mileva Maric was a Serbian physicist, mathematician, and the wife of Albert Einstein. She was one of the first women to study at the Zurich Polytechnic, where she met Einstein. Letters exchanged between them indicate that they discussed topics in science. However, after marriage, domestic responsibilities and social expectations limited her opportunities to pursue a career in STEM.
