Smiti Chaudhary (48), a 2012-batch Haryana-cadre IPS officer, passed away in Nashik on Friday. She was posted as SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau, and was on extended leave due to health issues. Her husband, Rajesh Kumar, is a Maharashtra-cadre IPS officer. She was the daughter of former IAS officer Jaiwanti Sheokand and sister of serving Haryana IAS officer Yashendra Singh.
