Vijay Kumar Mahato, a 27-year-old from Dudhapania village in Jharkhand's Giridih district, worked with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company in Saudi Arabia on transmission line projects. He was killed in police firing on October 15 after being caught in a crossfire between Saudi police and an extortion gang. Mahato is survived by his wife, two young sons, and parents.
