Wing Commander Namansh Syal from Kangra, was driven to serve the nation from a young age. An alum of Sainik School, he went on to crack the National Defence Academy (NDA) in 2009. Having been trained to fly the MiG-21, Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, and Su-30, he was a brilliant pilot. He lost his life in a crash in Dubai.
