The wholesale price of onions in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur plummeted to ₹1-2 per kg, PTI reported on Wednesday. "I planted onions in one bigha of land, which yielded around 6-7 quintals (600-700 kg)," a farmer from Panth Piploda said. "The rate was ₹1.99 per kg, not even ₹2. This doesn't even cover our travel cost," he added.
