Afghanistan authorities have blamed Pakistan of carrying out two strikes in the country, one of which reportedly targeted leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militant group in Kabul. Afghanistan described the strikes as "violent and heinous", and warned that the Pakistani army would face consequences. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has been fighting to overthrow the Pakistan government.
