Multiple ultra-wealthy individuals are planning to move out of Switzerland as the country is working on imposing a 50% inheritance and gift tax on wealth transfers above Swiss Francs 50 million (about ₹530 crore). Transfers to spouses and heirs would also not be exempted from the tax. A Zurich-based private banker said a top client has already relocated to Liechtenstein.
