RJD, which won 25 seats in Bihar, has higher vote share (23%) than BJP's 20.08% and JD(U)'s 19.25% that won 89 and 85 seats, respectively. This implies that in some constituencies, RJD might be second or third, gathering many votes but not enough to win. Also, RJD contested on 143 seats while BJP and JD(U) contested on 101 seats each.
