Shares of Tata Motors tumbled 40% in a few hours on Tuesday as they began trading after the company's demerger. Tata Motors has demerged its passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle businesses. Following the spin off, investors got one share of the new commercial vehicle entity for every one share of Tata Motors held as of the record date.
