RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said that MPC kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.5% again because the overall inflation outlook has turned "even more benign" in the last few months due to decline in food prices and GST reforms. "MPC considered it prudent to wait for the impact of policy actions to play out...before starting...next course of action," he added.
