Nepal has imposed a ban on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube and several other social media sites after accusing them of failing to comply with regulations. The KP Sharma Oli-led government said the sites failed to register with the government under new laws. Oli said he wouldn't tolerate the nation being undermined. The ban led to massive protests by Nepalese youth.
