Rohit Sharma has been replaced as ODI captain by Shubman Gill. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar said it was practically impossible to have three different captains for three formats. He added, "With next World Cup in 2027...we felt it was...right time to have...new captain. There aren’t too many ODIs in...next couple of years...and the new captain needs time to build team."
