Delhi saw the hottest September in six years on Monday as the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2°C, five degrees above normal. Delhi has been experiencing high heat as Southwest monsoon withdrew on September 24. As humidity remained between 56-76%, moisture trapped heat near the surface, Indian Express reported. Easterly winds kept moisture high contributing to high night-time temperature.
