Fat cells in our bodies have a kind of 'memory' of past obesity and strive to return to this state, a new study in the journal 'Nature' has said. This 'obesity memory' can last for years after a person loses weight, making them more prone to gain weight again. It prepares cells to respond quicker to high-sugar or high-fat diet.
