Venezuelan democracy activist Maria Corina Machado, who won Nobel Peace Prize 2025, is being criticised for supporting Israel and its bombing in Gaza. The critics also pointed out that she had also called for foreign intervention to overthrow the government in her country. Notably, the Nobel Prize Committee called Machado a "champion of peace".
