Hotels, guesthouses, and homestays in Uttarakhand's Mussoorie must now register every guest on a government portal to curb over-tourism and protect the fragile Himalayan ecosystem. As part of NGT recommendations, tourist numbers will be linked to available rooms and parking. Officials said real-time registration will help ease pressure on water, infrastructure and ensure safety in the hill town.
