Members of parliamentary standing committee on law and justice asked officials of law ministry about why no FIR has been filed against Justice Yashwant Varma till now. The officials responded that government acted based on CJI's recommendations and no directive for an FIR has been received so far. Notably, large amount of cash was found at Justice Varma's residence.
