Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, 2025, is a step towards restoring public confidence in government. "Why should anyone oppose such a fair and transparent provision?" he wrote on X. The Centre introduced three constitutional amendment bills which provide for removal of PM, CMs and ministers arrested and detained for at least 30 days.
