Indian drug regulator CDSCO shared list of 17 medicines which must be flushed down the toilet if they've expired or are unused. This, it says, is because the medicines may be harmful, even fatal, if used by anyone other than the person they were prescribed to. Improper disposal may contaminate water supplies used by nearby communities or wildlife.
