Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati idol, which is usually immersed in the Arabian Sea by 9 am the day after Anant Chaturdashi, was immersed at around 9 pm on Sunday. "By the time our procession reached [Girgaon] Chowpatty, the high tide had already set in," revealed the honorary secretary of the mandal as the reason behind the 12-hour delay in visarjan.
