New York mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is constitutionally prohibited from running for US presidency. US Constitution says, "No person except a natural-born Citizen" is eligible to run for the post. A "natural-born citizen" is someone who holds US citizenship from birth and doesn't undergo naturalisation later. Mamdani was born in Uganda and later moved to US, eventually becoming naturalised citizen.
