Delhi High Court granted ₹1.5 lakh maintenance to a woman who earns over ₹1 lakh/month saying that she cannot be denied maintenance merely because she is employed. Citing the husband's annual income, which exceeds ₹1.5 crores, the court said, "Wife's financial self-sufficiency must be assessed not in absolute terms but relative to standard of living maintained during the marriage."
