US President-elect Donald Trump, after the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal, said his upcoming administration will ensure Gaza "never again becomes a terrorist safe haven". Trump added he is "thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home". Earlier, Trump said "all hell will break out" in the Middle East if the hostages being held by Hamas aren't released by January 20.
