Salai Arun from Trichy, Tamil Nadu, has collected 300 varieties of native vegetable seeds from across India on his bike. His collection has 55 types of brinjal, 100 types of beans, tomatoes (30) and other veggies. They include a brinjal eaten raw, an 8-feet gourd, and tomatoes the size of peppercorns. Salai gives the seeds for free to farmers.
