China has asked the US to withdraw its mid-range Typhon missile system deployed in Japan, saying that it poses a threat to the regional strategic security. "It fuels the risk of regional arms race and military confrontation," Chinese Foreign Ministry said. Earlier China objected to Typhon's deployment in Philippines, with whom it's involved in a dispute in South China Sea.
