A Palghar woman killed her 7-year-old son then claimed he died of jaundice. A neighbour, suspicious of the explanation, lifted the sheet covering the boy and found visible injuries. He alerted the police, who arrested the woman. The 10-year-old daughter later revealed that their mother had beaten them with a rolling pin.
