A woman head constable, Savita Saket, was brutally beaten to death by her husband in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh. The attack took place during a heated argument while she was making dinner. Her husband, Virendra Saket, used a baseball bat to assault her. Police have registered a murder case and are investigating the motive.
