Babita Patil started making seed rakhis 10 years ago while working as a farmer. Through Gram Art Project, she built a better life and helped other women learn new skills- now, 300 women in 14 villages make these rakhis. Making these rakhis has helped farmers grow indigenous cotton and earn fair price. After use, the rakhi can also be planted.
