Maria Gomes, fondly known as Maria Aunty, feeds freshly cooked food to more than 300 stray dogs every single day across Panjim city in Goa. Maria, who was once forced into child labour at a young age, prepares meals in pots and carries them on her bicycle to feed the dogs, some of whom are abandoned and old.
