A woman, Rahima Begum, alleged she was pushed into Bangladesh before officials on Indian side asked her to return. Begum and others were detained as part of Assam's crackdown on illegal immigrants. Her lawyer said there was a mismatch in a digit of her registration number in her certificate, following which they approached police about the error, and she returned.
