After a cancer-stricken elderly woman was dumped on the road in Ayodhya last month, the police have arrested three accused, including her daughter-in-law. A CCTV footage showed the trio abandoning the woman, identified as Bhagwati Devi, on the road at night. The 80-year-old was taken to the hospital the next day in critical condition, but she passed away.
