A woman was found half-burnt in Tripura’s Gomati district after her husband alleged they were assaulted by BJP MLA Jitendra Majumder’s nephew. The couple’s complaint was reportedly ignored by police. A case of abetment to suicide has been filed, and four people have been arrested. Police have suspended one officer for alleged negligence.
