An incident of a probable human sacrifice has come to light from a village in Maharashtra's Satara after a woman's head and lower limbs were discovered in a sugarcane field. The body parts have raised suspicions of a ritualistic killing, possibly linked to superstition. Several items, including lemon, chilli, coconut, gulal (coloured powder) and a black doll were also found.
