A 34-year-old UK woman who was rushed to the hospital following weeks of severe toothache died soon after her CT scan. The woman was given an iodine-based contrast dye to aid a whole-body CT scan and she suffered an allergic reaction, going into anaphylactic shock. Post-mortem examination concluded that she had died as a result of the allergic reaction.
