Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday reacted to the alleged gang-rape incident reported in a Kolkata law college and said, "In Bengal, especially, women are unhappy." He added, "Today, there has been an increase in violence from RG Kar Medical College to the Kasba Law College...It hurts people's innocent behaviour." Four people have been arrested in the gang-rape case.
