Following criticism over a video of him scolding and suspending a doctor, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said his "tone and words could have been more measured" but refused to apologise for standing up for the patient. Rane noted that hospital's casualty had "minimal patient load at the time", therefore, it was "upsetting" that an elderly patient was denied care.
