Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said his party might contest upcoming BMC elections independently. "Talks are on between Uddhav Thackeray and other party leaders (about whether to go solo) for BMC polls. Workers want the party to contest the polls solo," Raut added. Even before Sena split, when party was in alliance with BJP, it contested BMC polls independently.
