The World Bank has sanctioned $426 million for the Karnataka Water Security and Resilience Program, which will enhance water security for over four million residents in Bengaluru. The program aims to mitigate floods in Bengaluru by reviving 183 lakes, provide sewerage connections to over 1 lakh households, and construct nine sewage treatment plants (STPs), among other objectives.
