Mahua Moitra, member of Lok Sabha, admitted to having crush on actor Pankaj Tripathi in an interview. She said, "I love Pankaj Tripathi...I wrote him a note, which he never replied to." She added, "He's my crush. I think he's the coolest actor. I love the mean bad roles he does. I loved him in 'Mirzapur' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur'."
