In a proud moment for Sirmaur district and a milestone for Himachal Pradesh's rich biodiversity, a rare bird species, the Daurian Starling (Agropsar sturninus), was recorded for the first time in the state. The recording was made by Himanshu Chaudhary, a young naturalist from Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur district.
