Reacting to ousted Bangladesh PM and his mother Sheikh Hasina getting death sentence by a tribunal, Sajeeb Wazed said Bangladesh's interim leader Muhammad Yunus "cannot touch my mother". "They will not be able to kill her...once there is a rule of law, this entire process will get thrown out," he stated. Hasina was sentenced for crimes against humanity.
