Zimbabwe has announced that it will cull 200 elephants as the country faces an unprecedented drought leading to food shortages, according to the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. Adding that Zimbabwe had "more elephants than it needed", environment minister Sithembiso Nyoni told the Parliament that the government had ordered the authority to begin the process.
