Religious groups in Kerala have raised concerns about the government’s plan to introduce Zumba, a dance-based fitness programme, in schools as part of its anti-drug campaign. A cleric said, "Zumba is harmful to the moral life of students…This is an import from the Western world." He added, "Girls and boys should not be allowed to mingle…[in] Zumba dance."
