India's average inflation rate has been around 6% in last two decades, The Financial Express reported. At this rate, a family which has monthly expense of ₹1 lakh today will require ₹1.34 lakh in five years, according to SEBI's inflation calculator. The same family's monthly expenses would rise to ₹1.79 lakh in 10 years and ₹2.4 lakh in 15 years.
