Locals allegedly threw mud at Tamil Nadu minister K Ponmudy during his visit to a flood-affected area in Viluppuram following Cyclone Fengal. They were reportedly protesting over inadequate relief measures. The protesters claimed that Ponmudy stayed in his vehicle instead of assessing the ground situation.
