Haryana Police booked former Punjab DGP Mohammad Mustafa and his wife, ex-Congress MLA Razia Sultana, for the alleged murder of their son following a complaint by Shamshudin Chaudhary. He is known as a "party hopper" for frequently switching political parties. He last worked for the ruling AAP and campaigned for their candidate in Malerkotla during the 2022 Punjab Assembly polls.
